The second coordination meeting of the pilot project on “Addressing violence in schools through Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education” took place in Athens from 29 February to 1st March 2016.
The representatives from Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland and Romania discussed the draft report comparing the policies and researches of the participating countries in the field of violence at school and presented the findings and recommendations of their respective discussion focus groups.
A comparative report of the national focus group findings will highlight points for consideration and suggestions for action inspired by the recommendations of the national focus groups. The overarching driver is the exploration of whole school community approaches aimed to develop a positive school climate supporting the inclusion of all students.
An international dissemination workshop bringing together representatives from the national focus groups is scheduled in Budapest on 9 April 2016.
