Representatives from 20 partner organisations in 17 countries implementing the projects funded in 2016 by the EU/Council of Europe Joint Programme “Human Rights and Democracy in Action” met in Strasbourg for the First Joint Coordination Meeting on 31 January – 1 February 2017.
The representatives of the partner organisations had the opportunity to present their projects to other partners and also to discuss ways of collaboration and how to move forward in the implementation of the projects in the partner countries.
Four projects will be implemented under the 4th cycle of the Programme:
- “Democratic school governance for inclusion: a whole community approach” (Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland, and Romania)
- “Baltic Partnership for Human Rights Education (HRE) and Education for Democratic Citizenship (EDC) (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania)
- “Instruments for implementation of the Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture” (Georgia, Andorra, Croatia and Slovakia)
- “Democratic Culture in Action – Democratic Competences in the digital era” (Czech Republic, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia)
