To responsibly guide an organisation into the future to provide a safe and healthy sport environment is challenging, but nonetheless expected. Whoever wants to live up to this challenge will not passively wait to see how things turn out, but will become active on his / her own.

We have created a scenario consisting of 4 steps that illustrates the relevant dimensions of Pro Safe Sport:

  • Questionnaire

Position yourself in the scenario so that it best reflects the situation in your organisation / federation. This tool serves as a self-awareness / an orientation tool and is by no means judgemental! Additionally, not all the statements listed in the questionnaire might be equally relevant for you;however we advise you to proceed until you get to the last question. To fill in the questionnaire takes approximately 20 minutes.

    Please use the following evaluation-criteria:

    • Fully applies (100%): Respective activities are entirely integrated and are being practiced.
    • Largely applies (75%): Respective activities and measures are integral elements of our daily work and our organisation's/ federation's culture.
    • Partially applies (50%): Respective activities have been introduced and first measures have already been successfully implemented.
    • Does rather not apply (25%): Some activities have been thought of. First steps are being taken.
    • Does not apply (0%): No respective activities or measures are in place.
    • Not applicable: Activities are not applicable to our organisation. Not taken into consideration in the final score.

  • Results and summary of actions
Sum up the crucial starting points in your organisation / federation. It will help you decide which aspects you will discuss in more detail with your board / executive body, senior staff and employees, and which aspects are worth tackling.
  • Exchange of views with other colleagues
Then download the Results and Summary of Actions (PDF) and discuss your findings with your colleagues.
  • Specific change process
Last, work out a specific action plan for the future work in your organisation.

Thank you!

Thank you for using the self-assessment tool on safe sport. As mentioned in the introduction, this tool serves as a self-awareness and guidance tool and is by no means judgemental! This self-assessment helps you to identify areas of strength in safe sport.

It is possible that not all the statements listed in the self-assessment were equally relevant for your organisation. However, please carefully review your replies and use this as an opportunity to reflect on the results and discuss them withyour colleagues. It could help decide if activities in less developed areas are needed or are worth looking into for future planning.
