Multi-professional group drafts forensic manual in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The training teams formed of law enforcement and prison professionals held an online co-ordination meeting with the team of the action on “Strengthening human rights treatment of detained persons based on European standards and best practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina” on 25 June 2020. The aim of the training teams and this co-ordination meeting is to design manual for interagency co-operation in the treatment and resocialisation of forensic patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The purpose of this manual is to complement the existing good practices and institutional training programs with recommendations from the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT).

These activities are organised within the framework of the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” and its action on “Strengthening human rights treatment of detained persons based on European standards and best practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina“.
