Summary link to Recognition:
The second European Academy on Youth Work (EAYW) event focused on learning about the mechanisms that can spark, sustain and support innovation in youth work as a response to the challenges and fast-changing realities faced by societies and young people in Europe today. The second EAYW event brought together over 160 professionals from the European youth work community of practice for knowledge-building through peer learning and exchange, and networking. It provided space for sharing practices, approaches and strategies designed as responses to the challenges. It explored the concept of innovation in youth work and looked to the future in terms of how the knowledge gained can support further developments. While recognition is not a direct aim of the EAYW, it is acknowledged that the EAYW is an important event in the European youth sector and so supports the recognition of youth work through its work.
