Representatives of all departments of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption have worked together to finalise the strategic framework for communication of the Agency in a two-day Workshop convened by the Action against economic crime in Montenegro on 5 - 6 September 2022 in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The workshop built on the comments to the draft Communication Strategy, the Action Plan, and the Public Relations Plan for elections that the action had produced to assist the Agency. Workshop discussions where therefore well informed, which lead to finalising these relevant communication documents with due consideration to the comments that had been provided.

Also, and based on the recommendations produced by the Council of Europe experts, workshop participants developed success indicators for each of the strategic objectives in the Action Plan, a practical tool to monitor and enhance the implementation of the Plan.

The workshop was also an opportunity to share an awareness raising model campaign, based on which workshop participants produced an outline for two campaigns: a campaign to enhance of public awareness of corruption and to encourage citizens to report corruption to the authorities; as well as a campaign on lobbying awareness; both of which are foreseen in the Action’s Plan.

This meeting was organised within the framework of the Action against economic crime in Montenegro, which is a part of the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019 – 2022”.
