Call for participants: Summer School 'Young refugees as actors for socialinclusion and intercultural dialogue'

The Youth Department of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Global Platform for Syrian Students, is organising a Summer School on Young refugees as actors for social inclusion and intercultural dialogue, in Braga, Portugal, from 27 August to 3 September 2017.  This activity aims to develop the capacities of young refugees as actors and agents of change in their communities. It is based on the principles of empowerment and participation of young refugees and it aims at reinforcing resilience and leadership skills.

The  call for participants – young refugees and youth workers – is open and can be consulted at https://go.coe.int/WXqT5. Please help us disseminate this call by forwarding it to potentially interested participants. The deadline for applications is set for 22 June 2017.

Youth Work Against Violent Radicalisation - Call for Examples and Inspiring Practices

Salto Youth is inviting youth workers, youth-led organisations and NGOs for youth, informal groups, institutions and public authorities, implementing social, cultural, educational, political and sports-related activities through youth work, to send their case studies and examples of practice highlighting mechanisms of addressing and preventing youth violent radicalisation.

Within a long-term strategy about youth work against violent radicalisation, involving various European countries and Europe's neighbouring regions, this mapping exercise aims to showcase positive ways and initiatives in which youth violent radicalisation can be addressed.

News from the EuroDIG - 2017

This year EuroDIG will take place in Tallinn, Estonia from 6-7 June 2017.

A number of pre and side events will be enriching the EuroDIG programme. 

EuroDIG will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia in cooperation with the Estonian Internet Foundation.
