Further to the Law on academic integrity, the Ethics Committee have launched the development of the Charter of Ethics as a key document for its work. The action “Quality education for all” is providing technical support for this activity and has recently recruited two international consultants from the International institute for educational planning – UNESCO to deliver remote expert assistance to the working group established by the Ethics Committee.

The first online meeting between the working group and the consultants took place on 21 October 2020. The meeting resulted in agreeing on the concept and principles that the charter should follow.

The government has recently appointed the Ethics Committee to perform duties on preserving, improving and safeguarding academic integrity and to adopt and monitor the implementation of the Charter of Ethics currently being developed.

The event was organised within the framework of the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” and its action “Quality education for all” in Montenegro.
