A judicial dialogue meeting involving the representatives of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts of Montenegro was held in Podgorica on 6 November 2019. The focus of the meeting was put on interpretation and application of the right to peaceful enjoyment of property set forth in the European Convention on Human Rights.
This activity, organised in co-operation with the AIRE Centre from London, is part of a larger goal of supporting a regular dialogue between the national courts. Regular co-operation and exchange of information on matters concerning the Convention is essential for ensuring that the decisions made at domestic level are compatible with Strasbourg’s Court case-law.
This Action is part of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II.
