Rad u ovom tematskom području usredotočen je na zatvore i policiju (uključujući ljudska prava u policijskom radu, zdravstvenu skrb u zatvorima i zaštitu od mučenja i zlostavljanja), standarde ljudskih prava u pravosuđu (usmjerenost na poboljšanje primjene sudske prakse Europskog suda za ljudska prava), migracijska pitanja, učinkovitost pravosudnih sustava (s fokusom na analizu pravosudnih statistika radi optimizacije sudske uprave) i/ili pravnu suradnju (koja je usredotočena na povećanje individualne neovisnosti sudaca i tužitelja i odgovornosti pravosudnog sustava).

Facilitating the prison healthcare transfer from the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Health

A meeting was held in Pristina on 27-28 February to present and discuss the Assessment Report on the Provision of Health Care in Prisons in Kosovo*. A way forward was agreed to implement the consultant's key recommendations on the legal and administrative regulations on prison healthcare, as well as to support the transfer of the healthcare competencies from the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Health.

Participants  included members from the Prison Health Department (PHD) of the Ministry of Health, members from the Kosovo Correctional Services (KCS) of the Ministry of Justice, one national consultant and two international consultants.
