We are presenting the most important publications produced under the framework of the Horizontal Facility III programme with an aim to enhance knowledge and improve policy and practice in respective beneficiaries in the Western Balkans and in Türkiye.

With the support of the programme a new Guide for Legal Professionals on Freedom of Expression, SLAPPs and Related ECHR Standards, was published. The Guide is designed to support lawyers defending journalists and civil society organisations targeted by Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs), as well as judges adjudicating such cases. While the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has developed a rich body of jurisprudence protecting freedom of expression, these standards are not always consistently applied by domestic courts.

In the framework of the awareness raising initiative "Change Your Mind - Stay Out of the Vicious Circle”, aiming to reach out to the people of North Macedonia and inform them on the risks of child trafficking for the purpose of forced marriages, a booklet was developed. The booklet, published in the framework of  18 October -  European Anti-trafficking Day, includes stories about the struggles of the victims of trafficking and the invisible chains, which are keeping these child victims of forced marriages in a vicious cycle difficult to break.
