With the support of the joint European Union/Council of Europe action “Strengthening accountability of the judicial system and enhancing protection of victims' rights in Montenegro”, informative brochures and leaflets on the work of prosecutors have been recently published, printed and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.

The purpose of these materials which have been prepared by the Prosecution Service and published with the action’s support is to enhance prosecutors’ accountability and transparency and to provide information to citizens on how to use the existing mechanisms to report crime. Thanks to such collaborative effort, the brochures on citizens’ rights in the criminal proceeding are now available to citizens, providing information on how they can protect and exercise these rights, including on how to report crime and undertake criminal prosecution if they are an injured party.

A Handbook for high-school students on the work of prosecutors is also available, to help raise the awareness of this important population about juvenile justice system and entitlements.

As part of the action-related awareness raising efforts, promotional leaflets for the Association of Mediators of Montenegro have been designed in co-operation with the said Association and disseminated, and the Judicial Training Centre’s report for 2022 published.

These activities have been implemented under the action "Strengthening accountability of the judicial system and enhancing protection of victims' rights in Montenegro” which is part of the joint European Union and the Council of Europe programme "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye".
