Who are potential users of the A-Kit?

When enough people come together, then change will come and we can achieve almost anything. So instead of looking for hope … start creating it.”

Greta Thunberg

The A-Kit is designed to be a versatile and comprehensive resource tailored to the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders involved in youth work and beyond. Each group plays a unique role within the youth work community of practice, and the A-Kit aims to support their specific needs and motivations to engage in advocacy for youth work recognition and development. By providing tools, strategies, and resources, the A-Kit empowers youth workers, organisations, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advocate effectively for youth work, ensuring it is recognised, supported, and integrated into broader policy and community frameworks.

"Youth work is a broad term covering a wide variety of activities of a social, cultural, educational, environmental and/or political nature by, with and for young people, in groups or individually. Youth work is delivered by paid and volunteer youth workers and is based on non-formal and informal learning processes focused on young people and on voluntary participation. Youth work is quintessentially a social practice, working with young people and the societies in which they live, facilitating young people’s active participation and inclusion in their communities and in decision making." (Council of Europe Recommendation CM/Rec(2017)4 on youth work)
