 Objectives:

The quantitative study will aim to:

  • Provide up-to-date and comparative data on the enabling and restrictive conditions affecting youth civil society organisations and youth participation
  • Identify barriers to civic engagement faced by young people and explore their access to support mechanisms, resources, and institutional channels
  • Analyse trends in the development of youth civic space across Europe, with a particular focus on the phenomenon of shrinking civic space
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to policymakers and practitioners on how to safeguard youth civic space across member States
