In this section of the Visible Value, you may find the real treasure from the field of recognition of youth work. This is a well-selected collection of the recognition tools and practices that have been developed all over Europe.

We hope it will inspire you to develop your own or at least to imagine what the recognition might look like in very practical terms. Our intention is that this collection is regularly updated. So, if you are aware of other tools and practices that deserve to be included, please, let us know. In the meantime, enjoy the current collection.

Back RECONOCE

Volunteering, Competences and Employability

Short description:

RECONOCE is an online validation system for competences gained through volunteering. It has been developed by The Youth Council of Spain together with their partner organizations. The process of validation involves the volunteering organization, the volunteers, and the trained assessors. The volunteers have the possibility to validate the competences gained in voluntary projects using the RECONOCE model. The model includes 12 competences, grouped in three areas: communication, organisation and self-management. The result of the validation process is RECONOCE certificate indicating the level of each competence observed.

In order to gain the recognition of the whole system and the certificate, the project involves awareness raising amongst the private sector and dialogue with public and youth sectors.
