In this section of the Visible Value, you may find the real treasure from the field of recognition of youth work. This is a well-selected collection of the recognition tools and practices that have been developed all over Europe.

We hope it will inspire you to develop your own or at least to imagine what the recognition might look like in very practical terms. Our intention is that this collection is regularly updated. So, if you are aware of other tools and practices that deserve to be included, please, let us know. In the meantime, enjoy the current collection.

Back I'VE - I have experienced

A tested system for the recognition of competences developed in workcamps and voluntary service projects.

Short description:

This mobile phone application is a part of a comprehensive methodology that aims at better awareness of learning and recognition of competences gained in voluntary activities, such as workcamps and voluntary service projects. It is used in the post-camp workshops, aimed at integrating the learning that had happened during the project. It covers 13 competences that are typically developed in voluntary service.

The complete methodology is composed of:

  • The Tool Kit – it details the different sessions where volunteers will tell their stories and assess their competences. It includes information on needed resources, alterative options according to the group composition, readyto-print materials to be used during the Post Camp Events.
  • The Users’ Guide – it gives relevant info and material to prepare the volunteers, so to fully exploit the experience.
  • The Handbook for Facilitators – it serves for the preparation of the PCE facilitator with background information and tips
