The Council of Europe and the European Union Delegation to Albania will mark the official start of implementation of the Horizontal Facility Action against Economic Crime in Albania with a launch conference on 28 October 2016 at the Tirana International Hotel.

Mr Yngve Engstrom, Head of Operations of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania and Ms Tania Van Dijk, Council of Europe’s Coordinator of the Horizontal Facility, will address the participants.

The launching event will be followed by a technical workshop on “Political Party and Election Campaign Financing”, which will allow the participants - members of parliament, high level representatives of related institutions, technical experts as well as involved civil servants - to discuss the progress made to date, exchange initiatives and ideas for improvement, and outline recommendations for a way forward.
