Në varësi të nevojave dhe prioriteteve të përfituesve në fjalë, puna në këtë fushë përqëndrohet në mbështetjen për institucionet e avokatit të popullit, edukimin gjithëpërfshirës (adresimi i racizmit, bullizmit, segregimit dhe ekstremizmit në sistemin arsimor, korrupsioni në arsim), adresimin e trafikimit të qenieve njerëzore (me fokus në ndihmën për viktimat e trafikimit), luftën kundër diskriminimit ndaj pakicave kombëtare dhe/ose kur bazohet në orientimin seksual ose identitetin gjinor.

European Commission against Racism and Intolerance’s (ECRI) General Policy Recommendation No.17 on preventing and combating intolerance and discrimination against LGBTI persons is now available in Macedonian language!

Published in September 2023, the document recognises the continuing challenges for the human rights protection of LGBTI people in Europe and provides key recommendations to ensure that the rights of the persons who are part of the LGBTI communities are respected.

This ECRI Recommendation constitutes a fundamental tool aiming to address intolerance and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people and to help the development of an inclusive society. ECRI findings and recommendations are intended to guide member States in preventing and combating intolerance and discrimination against LGBTI people, in close co-operation with the related communities.

The translation was produced in the framework of the action on “Combating hatred and intolerance in North Macedonia” part of the European Union and Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Türkiye”, joint programme. It is supporting key beneficiaries and local actors in their reforms to develop harmonised institutional approach to tackle discrimination and hate speech.
