From 15 November, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) satisfaction surveys will be implemented in three pilot courts: the Basic Courts of Gjakova, Pristina, and Prizren. Two questionnaires for court users and for lawyers were prepared by a national steering committee set for this purpose and composed of court staff such as judges, spokespersons, and administrators, as well as representatives of the Kosovo* Bar Association.
Questionnaires were developed according to the model questionnaires of the CEPEJ “Handbook for conducting satisfaction surveys for courts users” and the specific needs of the courts. They have been translated into Albanian and Serbian, and also Turkish for the Basic Court of Prizren. The surveys will enable these courts to evaluate their performance and to improve their services for their court users. The intention is to ensure that these surveys are then used regularly and sustainably in Kosovo.
