A group of 42 court police officers from Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in a cascade training session to harmonise operational procedures for dealing with persons deprived of liberty on apprehension and in holding cells.

The session took place on 7-8 March 2019 in Teslic, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A number of female police officers is also in attendance. Selma Tutic, from the Federation of BiH Court Police, believes that women can do just as good job as their male colleagues of being a police officers. Amira Karavdic, from the Federation of BiH Court Police, carefully balances her family and professional life, so not to lose family ties due to a demanding work environment. Finally, Suzana Arsenic from the Republika Srpska Court Police, argues that more women should be recruited in police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to meet the European average.

All three of them wish their female colleagues among police officers a successful International Women’s Day 2019.
