On 7 and 10 May, two workshops on the topic of ‘Conducting Needs Assessment with Community Action Group members (CAGs)’ were organised within the joint EU-CoE ROMACTED II Programme in Kosovo. The aim of the workshops was to gather community data in nine thematic areas, and with the purpose of prioritising community needs.
- On 7 May in Prizren region, involving five ROMACTED II partner municipalities: Prizren, Istog/Istok, Gjakove/Djakovica, Fushe Kosove/Kosovo Polje and Obiliq/Obilic.
- On 10 May in Gjilan/Gnjilane region, involving five ROMACTED II partner municipalities: Kamenice/Kamenica, Ferizaj/Urosevac, Gracanica/Gracanice, Lipjan/Lipljan and Mitrovica/South Mitrovica.
The data gathered will enable better understanding on the evolvement and change in the community situation in the last few years since the pandemics. Conversely, the needs assessment will enable CAG through ROMACTED II implementation to formulate realistic proposals and address issues identified as priorities to the local authorities.
Two events were followed by a young Roma artist, Dashnim Berisha, who portrayed the thematic discussions through his artwork sketches.
The event was organised by the Council of Europe Office in Pristina and ROMACTED II Support Organisation - Forum for Development and Multiethnic Collaboration FDMC.
