In the period from 15 to 17 June 2022 in Ohrid, a three-day workshop was held for the municipal administration and the facilitators to finalise Joint Action Plans and COVID 19 recovery plans in the 15 partner municipalities.
During the past months, ROMACTED facilitators prepared the Community Needs Assessment, identifying real needs and priorities of the local Roma community. The next step of the process required the establishment of Мunicipal Taskforce Groups (MTG), where these priorities were appropriately addressed in specific activities.
At the workshop, the municipalities exchanged about good practices and jointly determined certain actions that are applicable to all municipalities in order to promote and empower the Roma local population. Apart from drafting the operational plans, the participants also worked on adequate budgeting of the action plans in accordance with the principles of Roma Responsive Budgeting.
Ms Mabera Kamberi from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy also took part in this event, presenting the National Roma Strategy 2022-2030 and noted that the Goverment and the Municipalities have an obligation to work on the active implementation of the strategic goals.
The adoption of the action plans will follow in all partner municipalities.
