National Workshop on Participatory Local Strategic Planning organised in North Macedonia

The first National Workshop on "Participatory Local Strategic Planning" was organised in Skopje on 9 December within the framework of Phase II of the Joint EU-CoE ROMACTED Programme. The event anticipated the official launch conference, which takes place on 10 December, International Human Rights Day.

The workshop gathered together the delegated municipal contact points from partner municipalities and local facilitators. The event aimed at building capacities on the principles of strategic planning at the local level and working methods through the four steps of the ROMACTED methodology.

The opening remarks were addressed by Ms Mabera Kamberi, Head of Department from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Mr Nafi Saracini, Roma Contact Point from the European Union Delegation in North Macedonia, Ms Marina Vasic, ROMACTED Programme Manager, as well as Ms Gjulten Mustafova, ROMACTED Project Officer. 

Participants were given more detailed information related to four steps of the ROMACTED methodology, which were presented by the local facilitators. A special focus was placed on the principles of participatory strategic planning and the cooperation between the relevant stakeholders at the local level. 

The workshop was organised by the Council of Europe Programme Office in Skopje and ROMACTED II SUpport Organisation, Romalitico - Institute for Research and Policy Analysis.


ROMACTED Phase II will be implemented in the following municipalities: Berovo, Bitola, Debar, Delchevo, Gostivar, Kicevo, Kocani, Kriva Palanka, Prilep, Strumica, Shtip, Shuto Orizari, Tetovo, Veles and Vinica.
