Şişli Municipality in Istanbul opened the “Kuştepe Community Center” with the support of the small-scale grant provided through the European Union - Council of Europe Joint Programme ROMACTED Phase II ‘Promoting Good Governance and Roma Empowerment at Local Level’.

The Center was opened in Kuştepe neighborhood with the aim of supporting the participation of Roma citizens in decision-making processes and increasing Roma people’s access to public services at local level.

The Center provides also artistic and sports activities for children and young people from the community, as well as psycho-social guidance and preventive information services for families on health and addictions.
