The meeting will be the opportunity for participants to discuss about Cultural Routes projects to be developed in the Alpine Region and in the Baltic Sea Region through the Routes4U project. Projects for the Alpine Region will focus on "Via Alpina", a network of five hiking routes across the Alps, and "Via Claudia Augusta", a trans-European line of communication developed during the Roman Empire. The projects should promote the heritage specificities of the Alpine Region, contributing to cultural tourism and transnational cooperation. For the Baltic Sea Region, participants will discuss the themes of "Ice Age and Maritime Heritage" as well as "Alvar Aalto Route".

Participants will include representatives from European Institutions, EUSALP, EUSBSR, cultural routes projects, Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe networks and stakeholders from the cultural and tourism field at national and macro-regional level in the Alpine Region and Baltic Sea Region.

The event is organised with the support of the Swiss Federal office of Culture.
