New EUSDR Action Plan published

The revised EUSDR Action Plan has been officially published, with Routes4U specifically mentioned.

"The Council of Europe’s Routes4U project started its work to foster regional development through some specific tools," the report states.  "For example, the first Routes4U meeting for the Danube Region contributed to identifying the regional needs of the Danube Region with regard to the Cultural Routes Programme," it added. " (It) featured three ... projects as contributing to already established cultural routes or with potential of being developed into new ones."

The Action Plan was transmitted to the European Parliament, the Council, the EESC and the Committee of the Regions. The revision of the Action Plan is a rewarding moment for the whole team that has been working for more than a year to reach this objective.

The next step aims to bring the EUSDR forward, with embedding it into the post-2020 programmes, with a new EUSDR governance paper, and with an enforced cooperation with the other macro-regional strategies.
