Call for experts
Deadline for application: 31 March 2018
Are you familiar with the EU macro-regional strategies, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and/or the Faro Convention?
Routes4U Project is looking for talented people in the following field of expertise:
"With ExploreHansa, we focused a lot on teaching citizens in the Baltic Sea region about the Hansa and develop tourism products. (...) We raised
awareness not only on their history but also their belonging to this European cultural heritage. Now, there is a pride among the citizens in the participating cities."
Routes4U interviews are an invitation to get to know the different stakeholders of the 2017-2020 Joint Programme between the Council of Europe and the European Commission. We invite Inger Harlevi to share with us the last developments of the ExploreHansa project, her views on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme, and her expectations on the Routes4U project.
Denise's memory from the certification ceremony of the European Route of Charles V (Summer 2015).
Sense of place
"I remember my first encounter with the Emperor Charles V. It was during a sunny day at the Monastery of Yuste. We were surrounded by an infinity of velvety garments, and during one second I thought "maybe my outfit is not appropriate for this"!
The Monastery is where the 16th century ruler of the "empire on which the sun never sets" lived his last years. At that particular moment, I felt like I will spend the last season of his life with him".
Do you want to share a Cultural Route memory? Send us a short paragraph describing your experience and a picture. Every Friday we will select one story to spotlight on Instagram #Routes4U
