Overall objective

  • To promote the development of Competences for Democratic Culture (CDC) and digital skills using ICT tools and competence-based approaches

 

Specific objectives

  • To raise awareness on the importance of acquiring and using Competences for Democratic Culture (CDC) in the online environment and social media

  • To encourage teachers to use a student-centered learning pedagogy and competency-based approaches and methodology in developing Competences for Democratic Culture (CDC) through ICT (using the Council of Europe Model of Digital Citizenship Education – DCE).

  • To encourage the further development of students’ digital skills and competences (values, attitudes, skills and knowledge and critical understanding).

  • To develop a model to assess the progress of students’ learning, proficiency and achievements

  • To promote the whole school approach and encourage the involvement of all teachers allowing them to contribute towards students’ development and use of Competences for Democratic Culture (CDC) in the context of online environment and social media.

 

Outputs/Expected results

  • Relevant Council of Europe publications adapted and translated into Macedonian and Albanian languages

  • An online platform is set up where videos, links to blogs, posters and online presentations produced by students will be published

  • A policy paper with recommendations for promoting Competences for Democratic Culture (CDC) and Digital Citizenship Education (DCE) at the national policy level is developed and addressed to the competent national authorities
