Over 50 judges, court presidents, and clerks across Bosnia and Herzegovina are gaining new tools to enhance court efficiency and improve the quality of justice, thanks to a two-day training session “Using CEPEJ Methodologies and Tools to Improve Court Efficiency and Managerial Capacities”, organised by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ).
The training, held in partnership with the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, focused on practical solutions for reducing case backlogs, optimising judicial time management, and monitoring court performance.
Participants also explored ways to improve communication between courts, the media, and the public, while integrating court users into the judicial process for a more inclusive and responsive system.
This activity was organised by the BiHSEJ action “Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHSEJ)” in the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye (Horizontal Facility III), co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
