Strengthening the institutional capacities of the Albanian State Advocate is one of the key objectives of the joint European Union and Council of Europe action “Supporting enforcement of the judicial decisions and facilitating the execution of ECtHR judgements in Albania”. 

In close cooperation with the State Advocate institution, the Action has provided the necessary IT support to build a case management infrastructure enabling for quick access to information, easy data management and increased transparency. An recent upgrade of the system, coupled with the training of relevant staff of the institution, will further enhance its capacities to execute the judgments of the Court in a more efficient and prompter manner.

The action “Supporting enforcement of the judicial decisions and facilitating the execution of ECtHR judgements in Albania” is a part of the EU and Council of Europe joint programme Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022, aiming at assisting the Albanian authorities to efficiently and timely enforce domestic judicial decisions and execute judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
