Pilot courts prepare for first internal satisfaction surveys in line with European standards

Representatives of five pilot courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina (from Brčko, Cazin, Livno, Sokolac, and Trebinje) attended an expert workshop on 30 May 2025 on the importance and models for conducting internal satisfaction surveys in courts.

The workshop, organised by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), highlighted the vital importance of such surveys in understanding and improving staff satisfaction, which further contributes to more efficient court management.

Participants reviewed a draft model questionnaire developed based on good practices from Slovenia, Georgia, and other European countries, and how to adapt it to the specific local needs and previous experiences of pilot courts.

The planning, organising, and implementation of satisfaction surveys was also discussed, including key steps such as data collection and preparation for analysis.

The pilot courts plan to hold internal satisfaction surveys later in the year.

This activity was organised as part of the CEPEJ action “Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of Justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIHSEJ,” implemented under the Council of Europe and European Union’s joint programme “Horizontal Facility for the Wester Balkans and Türkiye.”
