Increasing access to online information at the Basic Court of Pristina to follow-up on the court users’ satisfaction surveys

Within the frame of the satisfaction surveys held at the end of 2017, access to information (on the court website in particular) was identified as requiring improvements. For this reason, the court, with the support of the Action, has developed a leaflet to answer frequently asked questions concerning how to obtain criminal record extracts from the court. The leaflet and the application form are now downloadable on the court’s webpage and social media platforms in two languages, Albanian and Serbian. The court hopes that this measure will narrow the gap between the court users’ needs and expectations and the services currently provided. Access to court information, physical but also virtual, is one important item listed in the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) Quality Checklist to assess the quality of judicial services.

This activity took place under the Action “Strengthening the quality and efficiency of justice in Kosovo*”, which is part of the programme "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
