Four school coordinators from Montenegro attended the Training for Trainers what took place in Belgrade on 5-6 July 2017 under the Horizontal Facility Action “Fostering a democratic school culture”. The training aimed at equipping school coordinators from Serbia and Montenegro with theoretical knowledge on Education for democratic citizenship/Human Rights Education (EDC/HRE) as well as with practical considerations on how to apply competences for democratic culture (CDC) at the school level.

Two experienced international trainers provided an overview of the mentioned concepts but the focus was more on practical examples of learning activities for CDC development. Montenegrins had an active involvement in the training and shared their rich experience in work with schools in the local context.

All the participants expressed their full commitment in delivering assistance to the schools tailored to improve the quality of education by fostering a democratic culture in the formal education system both in Serbia and Montenegro.
