Art and awareness raising as part of Europe Day celebrations in Albania

On 9 May 2018, the EU and Council of Europe joint action “Fighting bullying and extremism in the education system in Albania” attended the EU Village organised by the EU Delegation to Albania to mark Europe Day.

The event served as a great opportunity to increase the visibility of the project amongst the general public, as well as disseminating information regarding the project and its achievements.

More than 20 students from 5 pilot schools in Tirana delivered anti-bullying and anti-discrimination messages through painting on the canvases provided in the EU/CoE HF project corner.

The project had also prepared a quiz about bullying for children and young people. Prizes such as T-shirts, cloth bags, hats and umbrellas with the logo “Together against bullying” were awarded for correct answers.

The project’s corner was also visited by large numbers of the general public who expressed a high-level of interest in learning more about how this project is contributing to the education system in Albania.
