Senior prison managers set guidelines for case management of detainees in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Case management of persons deprived of liberty within the criminal justice agencies is among the key topics of the discussions taking place between the senior security and treatment prison managers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. They met at a co-ordination meeting on 30-31 October 2019 in Sarajevo to provide input for the development of the subject training materials.

The main beneficiaries of an effective implementation of the case management system are persons deprived of liberty in prisons, law enforcement agencies and forensic facilities. Each agency will abide by the operational procedures tailor made to their specific legal background while the common goal will be human rights approach to the management of detainees. The training materials will be developed and training delivered thereof before May 2022.

This activity is organised within the framework of the Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey II - "’Strengthening human rights treatment of detained persons based on European standards and best practices ", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
