A workshop on academic integrity with special attention given to plagiarism was organized at the University of Montenegro on 24 April. Group of almost 30 postgraduate and doctoral students attended the lecture given by the experts of the Institute of Research and Action on Fraud and Plagiarism in Academia (IRAFPA). This event is a reflection of the ongoing co-operation of the University of Montenegro and IRAFPA taking place for the last 18 months under the auspices of the Horizontal Facility Action “Strengthen integrity and combat corruption in higher education”.

Two members of the IRAFPA took turns in presenting the phenomenon of plagiarism, providing practice example and taking case studies approach in order to bring the issue closer to the audience, emphasizing the importance of preventive approach and timely information and education on the subject as key in addressing the issue.

The event is organised within the Action “Strengthen integrity and combat corruption in higher education”, which is a part of the Horizontal Facility programme, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
