Two HELP courses launched for the judges, prosecutors and lawyers in Albania

13 October 2022, Tirana - Two HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) online courses - on “Child friendly Justice” and “Data Protection and Privacy Rights” have been launched for legal professionals in Albania in co-operation with the Chamber of Advocates of Albania and School of Magistrates of Albania, respectively. Around 100 judges, prosecutors and lawyers have registered to attend these online HELP courses.

The in-person launch events were addressed by Olsi DEKOVI, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana. The event organized in the morning was addressed by Rezarta ABDIU, Director of the continuous training at the Chamber of Advocates as well and the event in the afternoon by a representative of the School of Magistrates and a certified HELP tutor, Mirela BOGDANI.  During both events, Jasminka PERUNICIC ALLEN, Senior Project Officer of the HELP in the Western Balkans action provided and overview of the HELP Programme of the Council of Europe, so far achievements of the HELP in WB action and the HELP online platform that includes a catalogue of more than 40 courses on human rights.   

The events were organised under the HELP in the Western Balkans action, part of the joint European Union and Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”.
