On Thursday, 9 November, the Council of Europe and European Union will present in Minsk the results of projects for Eastern Partnership countries, including Belarus
The three country-specific projects carried out in in Belarus under the Partnership for Good Governance[1] in 2015-2017 are funded by the EU and the Council of Europe, and are implemented by the Council of Europe. Their total budget is 200,000 Euros.
The projects focused on promoting the standards of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in Belarus, as well as on promoting human rights, good governance and fighting corruption.
In addition to these three country-specific projects, Belarus also participates in 14 regional initiatives covering all Eastern Partnership countries.

Frederik Coene, Head of Cooperation Section, EU Delegation to Belarus; Andrei Bushilo, Head of the European Co-operation Department Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus; and Arkadi Sytine, EU/Council of Europe Facilities Co-ordinator, Council of Europe, will address the participants.
The first part of the event during which the project results will be presented is open to media from 14:30 to 15:15 on Thursday, 9 November, at the Crowne Plaza Minsk, 13 Kirova str. 220030, Minsk, Belarus. Language regime: English-Russian. Journalists will be able to pose questions to the speakers during the break.
