On Tuesday, 7 November, the Council of Europe and European Union will present to media in Chisinau the results of projects for Eastern Partnership countries, including the Republic of Moldova.
There are four projects carried out in the country under the Partnership for Good Governance[1] in 2015-2017, which focus on improving electoral processes, combatting and preventing discrimination, strengthening respect for human rights in the digital agenda, as well as strengthening the judiciary and supporting the Moldovan Bar Association.
The projects are funded by the European Union (90%), and co-financed (10%) and implemented by the Council of Europe. Their total budget is 2.4 million Euros. In addition to these country-specific projects, the Republic of Moldova also participates in 14 regional initiatives covering several countries.

Eva Gutjahr, Acting Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau; Aneil Singh, Head of Operations of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova; Sergiu Mihov, National Co-ordinator, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Arkadi Sytine, EU/Council of Europe Facilities Co-ordinator, will present the projects and reply to questions from media representatives.
The presentation will take place at 14:30 local time on Tuesday, 7 November 2017, at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel, Mitropolit Varlaam St 77, Chisinau. Language regime: English – Romanian.
