Continuation of the work to support the fight against discrimination in Moldova

On 11 December 2017, the Council of Europe and European Union joint project - Supporting national efforts for prevention and combating discrimination in Moldova – part of the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG), organised the third steering committee meeting. Representatives of the Council of Europe, European Union Delegation, Council for Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring the Equality, Ombudsperson Office, PGG National Coordinator and also leading non-governmental and international organisations working in the area of human rights attended the meeting.

Tangible results achieved in 2017 were presented and discussed during the meeting. Further to the official announcement that the project shall continue to provide its support in the area of non-discrimination also in 2018, the project team presented planned actions for next year.

Outstanding co-operation between the project and its main beneficiaries, as well as partner institutions, was reiterated at the event.
