Project of the Primary School "Daut Bogujevci":
Integration and socialization of pupils with difficulties in learning

Project specific objectives:
  • To enhance teachers approach in working with pupils of various social status and different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
  • To create cooperative environment among children of all ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Project’s main activities:
Identification of pupils

Subject to identification are:

  • Pupils with special needs
  • Pupils with difficulties in learning
  • Pupils who were involved in bullying interacted with community police and social workers, in school are subject to identification.

Identification is expected to be achieved through meetings with  

  • head-teachers,
  • community police,
  • and directorate for social welfare,
  • social scheme managers,
  • And community leaders.
Training of the school staff for work with pupils with difficulties on learning:

Training will be related to Student-centred classroom methodology. School has catalogue of accredited and certified training modules training agencies and trainers of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The most appropriate module, agency or trainers will be chosen. Due to start of school year and teachers’ full engagement, training is planned in second semester.

Social activities for pupils :

About 200 pupils will be included in various social and cultural activities Pupils at risk will be involved together with other pupils in orders to interact and understand each-other’s culture and background:  

  • cultural activities: role-plays and single plays;
  • sport activities: football and basketball games;
  • competition and gaming, enabling them to have leisure time together and socialize;
  • work-shops: inventory maintenance and repair, cooking, gardening, tailoring through extra-curriculum teaching ;
Exchange of experience: Study visit: with identified pupils for exchange of experience with other pupils in the region;
Raising awareness – four brochures
  • The content of awareness raising material will be produced by pedagogues, social workers and community police unit. Each brochure will have at least 8 to 16 pages, depending on the topic, in a form of attractively designed guide for citizenship.
  •  The first edition is dedicated to families,
  • The second edition to teacher community,
  • The third edition to pupils,
  • The fourth one to local/public and municipal institutions.
Project’s target groups
  • Direct beneficiaries: at least 100 Albanian, 60 Serbian and 40 RAE pupils; at least 30 teachers
  • Indirect beneficiaries: at least 100 Albanian, 60 Serbian and 40 RAE  families; all teacher community belonging to all ethnic groups
