MOROCCO – THE FIGHT AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Morocco publishes a compendium of national case law on combating human trafficking

At the beginning of June 2023, the National Commission for the Coordination of Measures to Combat and Prevent Trafficking in Human Beings of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Council of Europe published an Arabic version of a compendium of national case law on combating trafficking in human beings.

This compendium is an essential tool to support the work of legal professionals such as prosecutors, judges and lawyers, to provide them with a source of inspiration when qualifying cases of trafficking in human beings that they may encounter. This tool will also be used during training courses for current and future legal professionals.

This work complements the compendium of international case law of the European Court of Human Rights on combating trafficking in human beings, which was published by the Council of Europe in Arabic and French in January 2021.

This tool, which benefited from the support of the South V Programme, was developed by a group of Moroccan experts with the support of the Council of Europe.
