Training for Supreme Court Judge Assistants’ on Protection of Right to Property under European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)

On 17 March, 2017 Council of Europe (CoE), within the EU funded project, organised one-day training session for the Supreme Court judge assistants’ on “European Standards of Protection of Right to Property” Training was delivered by international consultant of the CoE. 

As a result of the training up to 40 staff members of the Supreme Court of Georgia increased knowledge on right to property in the light of positive obligations of the state and got information on recent case law of ECtHR related to the right to property. 

The Training took place under the EU/CoE Joint Project "Application of the European Convention of Human Rights and harmonisation of national legislation and judicial practice in Georgia in line with European Standards", which is funded through the Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus.
