New touristic signpost and road signs installed in historic German settlements

In the framework of the signed Administrative Arrangement between the Council of Europe and the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Georgia, under the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia of Georgia, objects belonging to German cultural heritage in historic German settlements of Asureti/Elisabethtal, Bolnisi/katharinenfeld and Trialeti/Alexandershilf have been signposted and related bilingual touristic road signs installed. The signposting was done in close cooperation with the local authorities who welcomed the initiative facilitating not only raising awareness of German cultural heritage but also development of local tourism.

The signposting took place in the framework of the EU/Council of Europe Joint Programme “Civic Integration of National Minorities in Georgia and the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages”.
