A group of future trainers of the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan will participate in a two-day study visit to the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe, 15-16 September 2015. The visit aims to provide the participants with an in-depth insight into the functioning of the European Court of Human Rights, with particular emphasis on national case-law and domestic implementation of human rights.

The participants will attend a Grand Chamber hearing and hear the presentations on various topics from the representatives of the Secretariat of the Council of Europe.

This study visit is part of the European Union and Council of Europe project, 'Application of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the Eruopean Court of Human Rights in Azerbaijan'. This project is part of the Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
