Strengthening integrity in Armenian Higher Education

A new short film has been made to present the work of the Council of Europe and European Union project: Strengthening Integrity and Combatting Corruption in Higher Education in Armenia

A conference on this subject was held on 16-17 November, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia. The Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski and the Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, offered opening remarks and noted the importance to launch an Anti-Corruption campaign in the field of education.

The international and national experience in strengthening integrity, ensuring transparency and combating corruption in higher education at policy level and in practice were discussed at the Conference. 

Around 100 representatives from universities, including students, academic staff and university management, as well as representatives from civil society participated in this Conference.

This Conference was carried out within the framework of the Project “Strengthening Integrity and Combatting Corruption in Higher Education in Armenia”, funded under the European Union and Council of Europe Partnership Co-operation Framework in the Eastern Partnership Countries for 2015-2017.
