The group of future trainers of the Academy of Justice, trained in the framework of the EU/COE Joint Programme on “Application of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights in Azerbaijan”, started conducting training seminars on the European Convention on Human Rights. Six 2-day training seminars for advocates were held in Baku in November - December 2015 involving 160 (126 men and 34 women) registered members of the Collegium of Advocates of Azerbaijan. The training was delivered on various aspects of the European Convention on Human Rights including the admissibility standards and relevant case-law of the European Court and involved 23 trainers of the Academy of Justice (60% of the ECHR trainers’ pool). The training seminars will be continued in 2016 to involve more advocates and judges.
