Anti-discrimination project in Moldova

A new joint programme of the Council of Europe and European Union: 'Supporting national efforts for prevention and combating discrimination in Moldova' will be launched in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova on 13 November 2015.

The main objective of the project is to support the alignment of Human Rights policies and practice by ensuring compliance of legislation and regulations with European standards and training for legal professionals and National Human Rights Institutions. The project will work in cooperation with the following national partners: Council for Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring Equality and Ombudsperson Office.

This project is part of the EU/CoE Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Eastern Partnership countires (2015-2017) and is in line with the CoE Action Plan to support democratic reforms in the Republic of Moldova 2013-2016 and with the priorities of the Association Agenda between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, which contributes to the enhancement of human rights protection and strengthening of anti-discrimination in Moldova.
