A delegation of 24 representatives of Kazakh authorities have participated in an anti-corruption training seminar organised at the Council of Europe Headquarters in Strasbourg (France) on 20-21 June 2023.

The main purpose of the seminar was to contribute to the modernisation of Kazakhstan’s regulatory framework and establish a practical dialogue with the European experts.

The seminar discussed the implementation of the Council of Europe recommendations on the fight against corruption. The European experts shared with the participants the experience of other countries and emphasised the importance of an effective accountability procedure and inter-agency cooperation.

The participants exchanged views on different issues related to the fight against corruption and reaffirmed their interest in cooperation with the Council of Europe.

The seminar was organised in the framework of the Central Asia Rule of Law Programme 2020-2023, co-funded by the Council of Europe and the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe.
