This course introduces international standards, such as the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, also called “the Lanzarote Convention”, and practical guidelines in the field of justice in favour to children’s best interests. It will be intended primarily for legal professionals (prosecutors, judges, and lawyers) in the southern Mediterranean region working in this field and will improve, in beneficiary countries, the judicial treatment of cases of sexual abuse against children following a multidisciplinary approach.
